 HI-MAR FALL STRIPER TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The annual fall Hi-Mar Striped Bass Fishing Tournament was finally blessed with decent weather for the fall classic. Friday night, the winds died down, only to pick up Saturday morning. After Saturday 1:00 P.M. the weather was perfect. Light winds and sunny skies and at night, a full moon.

The winner of the 40 hour tournament was Al Dudas  on Nauti Boy, from Cliffwood. His two fish caught were 41.00 lbs and 25.39 lbs.,  Total of 66.39 LBS. The actual anglers were Marc Hecht  and Lee Scarano respectively. The fish were caught at the Dental Works in Staten Island.

There were 35 boats entered and most boats weighed-in fish. The largest fish was 41.00 lbs. caught by Marc Hecht.

The Lady Angler was Kathie Hughes, Eatontown on Prime Coat, 21.94 lbs.

The Junior Angler was Marc James Hecht, Howell on Nauti Boy, 21.89 lbs.

The Mystery Weight winner was Harold Sand, Monmouth Beach on Sand Shark, 19.76 lbs. Mystery weight was 19.4 lbs.

2nd. Tyman, Chuck Many, Annandale, 28.42 & 23.24 = 51.66 lbs, New York side

3rd. Runoff IV, Rocco Casso, Roselle Park, 33.66 & 16.62 = 50.28 lbs, New York

4th. Prime Coat, Buddy Hughes, Eatontown, 21.94 & 20.33 = 42.27 lbs, Between Channels

5th. Fin-Angler, Barry Heffernan, Leonardo, 22.93 & 17.69 = 40.62 lbs. New York
