The 2014 Hi-Mar Spring Tournament – “Honoring Our Veterans” on Armed Forces Day saw beautiful weather with some left over large swells in the ocean from Friday’s rain storm. The bay was very nice. Most of the bass were caught in the bay on fresh bunkers.

We had 37 boats entered with 23 boats weighing in fish. The leaderboard was a very tight race with 5-10 boats all within a couple pounds of each other until Capt Derek Bielitz on Fisher Price IV brought in the big fish 36.2 lbs. of the day and the overall top weight.
1st- Fisher Price IV- 57.4 lbs.
2nd Reel Time- 46.6lbs
3rd East Wick- 46.4lbs
4th- O’Malley’s Pub- 45.2lbs
5th- Parker- 44.2lbs
The top Lady Angler was Kristin Dowd with a 21 lb bass. Kristin also won a custom made Kevin Bogan striped bass rod.
