 Hi Mar Tournament Application

One of the goals of the Hi-Mar striped bass tournament is to raise funds so that the club can help various local charities. For instance, Hi-Mar supports the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Jason's Dreams for Kids, Make a Wish, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hooked on Fishing, not Drugs, Point Pleasant Explorers, and Servicemen From Fort Dix and McGuire Air Force Base by taking them on large party boats to fish.  Also, numerous donations are made throughout the year to different needy organizations.

 The Hi-Mar club conducts one of the premier striped bass tournaments in North Jersey.  This year's fall 40 hour event will run from 8 P.M. on Friday (10/23/09) to Noon on Sunday (10/25/09) at Bahrs Landing Restaurant, 2 Bay Avenue Highlands/Sandy Hook, New Jersey, 732-872-1245. 

Tournament Info 

  • Applications may be picked up at most tackle shops and mailed in or by signing up at the captain's meeting Oct 23rd, 2009 beginning at 6:00pm
  • Entry fee is $80 per boat before Oct 10th, 2009, or $100 per boat after Oct 10th, 2009, max 6 persons aboard
  • A mandatory captain's meeting will be Friday, Oct 23rd,2009 at 7:00pm at Bahrs Landing , 2 Bay Avenue Highlands/Sandy Hook, New Jersey 732-872-1245. 
  • Tournament will begin on Friday at 8:00 P.M. Oct 23rd, 2009. Tournament ends at 12 Noon on Sunday, Oct 25th 2009

Hi-Mar Annual Charity Spring Bass Tournament

 The Hi-Mar club conducts one of the premier striped bass tournaments in North Jersey.  This year's Spring Tournament will run from 5:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Saturday (06/06/09) at the Twin Lights Marina, Shrewsbury Ave, Highlands, NJ.  Following the tournament Hi-Mar will host a picnic for all participants of the tournament. 

As always, the Hi-Mar Striper Club Annual Bass Tournament will benefit Jason's Dreams for Kids.  We also would like to give the captains the option to have their catch be filleted by the club members and donated to the Monmouth County Food Bank. This has been a huge success with several hundred pounds of filets donated to the food bank for distribution each year. 

Tournament Info

  • Entry fee is $100 per boat, max 6 persons aboard
  • A mandatory captain's meeting will be Friday, June 5th at 7:30pm at Twin Lights Marina, Shrewsbury Ave., Highlands, NJ 
  • Tournament will begin at lines in time of 5:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Saturday June, 6th 2008
  • The weight scale opens at 1:30p at the Twin Lights Marina, Highlands, NJ
